Purpose of the app
The FoxTeam system was initially developed as part of the implementation of a partner program designed for installers. As part of the first stage of the project, installers were to receive a tool to easily report newly added installations participating in the partner program.
With the growth of FoxESS Poland, the need arose to expand the system to include new equipment – heat pumps – and to handle new processes: installation, commissioning, or servicing, in order to relieve the support department, optimize the management of installer training, and digitize the flow of information. Thanks to the optimization and automation of processes, the system was to become a silent collaborator of the company supporting the crew in management.



Who was the customer?
FoxESS Poland is a global leader in inverters and energy storage solutions, being part of a group whose main shareholder is Tsingshan Group, a Fortune Global 500 company.

How have we done it?
Installers using the app can add new installations, receive service orders, sign up for training courses or take part in the partner program.
On the other hand, the client’s team, within the admin panel, gained the ability to manage the data entered by installers, including verifying the quality of installations carried out, ordering services, viewing the service history of equipment, or the activity history of individual installers.”

Key features
We designed the FoxTeam system to streamline the daily tasks of installers and administrators, while providing the highest quality of service. Among other things, the application offers support in the installation and service of heat pumps and inverters, automatic generation of documentation, an advanced administration panel, a training module and a gamification system. These functionalities increase work efficiency, but also guarantee compliance with guidelines and a high standard of service.
Heat pumps and inverters
Proper installation as well as servicing of heat pumps and inverters is key to ensuring the highest quality for customers. The application allows installers to go through these processes in an easy way while at the same time assuring the equipment manufacturer that each step will be performed as recommended.
Automatic documentation
Creating documentation in the traditional way is tedious and time-consuming. FoxTeam relieves installers of this task by automatically generating full documentation for each heat pump or inverter. In addition, the documentation in the form of, for example, installation or startup reports is immediately sent to all those who should have access to it, including the customer.
Complex admin panel
Managing hundreds of users as well as devices must be simple and fast yet efficient. That’s why we have prepared a FoxTeam administrator panel, which allows FoxESS Poland team to check the data, history and status of each device. In addition, administrators have the ability to assign orders to installers and check the quality of their services.
FoxESS Training
In order for each installer to perform their duties in accordance with accepted standards, they must first undergo the necessary training. The FoxTeam app makes it easy to sign up for such trainings and ensures that only trained installers are allowed to carry out technical processes. The app also generates certificates attesting to the competencies acquired and informs when they need to be renewed.
Gamification system
Installers cooperating with FoxESS Poland, are an important link in the implementation of services, so it is crucial to attract and then maintain them. That’s why a gamification system based on a partner program has been implemented in the application. Installers can earn rewards for their activities and compete in rankings.

What the project schedule looked like

Design workshops

July 2022.
We started our adventure with the project by holding a series of workshops with members of the client’s technical and marketing team. During these meetings, we designed future processes implemented within the system, based on the client’s existing solutions. Thanks to this approach, we were sure that the system being created would be ideally suited to the company’s needs.

Business analysis

July-August 2022.
The concepts developed during the workshops provided us with a solid base, which we then began to break down into smaller elements that made up the concept for the entire system. During each step of the process we verified the developed concept with the client’s team to ensure that it remained consistent with the vision of FoxESS Poland.

Working on design

July-September 2022.
Our design team was challenged by the client to make the mobile application and admin panel as simple and fast to use as possible, while keeping its desig neat and attractive at the same time. This is very important, because the tool is supposed to be supporting work, not generating frustrations and generating unnecessary efford. Therefore, we developed a proposal in line with the indicated needs, and then tested it with the test users.

Development and testing

“Having the system concept developed by the business analyst, a development team consisting of a mobile application developer, web application developer, backend application developer, QA and project manager got to work.
We ran the project in the scrum methodology, which meant that the client had all the time influence on the development of the project and insight into the current results.”

Implementation and further development

November/December 2022 – continued
After completing the programming work and verifying the quality of the system, we proceeded to implement the project at the client’s end. Using the client’s infrastructure, we launched the system, and then supported the technical team in quick and efficient adoption of the system.
The results of our work
The application not only helps carry out various activities, but also gives support when installers encounter difficulties. With built-in support and education features, installers performing tasks learn how to do them correctly, and if something goes wrong, they can quickly correct themselves. As a result, the customer support team has less work to do, and the whole process becomes more consistent and efficient.
Our solution has not only improved communication, but also raised the efficiency and quality of customer service. This is particularly important to us, as we are keen to ensure that the applications we develop have a real impact on our clients reality.”
